Chanel still hasn’t ventured into the realm of menswear; however, for the time being, they are releasing a 2010 sports collection. If you like chic excess, but still enjoy a good bit of action, the collection should appeal to you.

We Officially Declare This Weekend… Vampire Weekend

So we all know these NY indie-pop-rockers from the likes of ‘Oxford Comma’ and ‘A-Punk’, but foursome Vampire Weekend have hit back in 2010 with a brand spanking new album, and they’re making bigger waves than ever.

From their free performance at Somerset House last Thursday, followed by a sell-out show in Kingston and multiple gigs in London over the weekend, the new album, ‘Contra‘ has entered the number 3 spot in this weeks’ official album chart.  It seems there’s something about these lads that people warm to, and it’s been impossible to avoid seeing or hearing them this past week. Potential festival headliners? We think so.

A Taster Of The New Mercedes-Benz CLS

Mercedes taunt us with the new design by displaying an ornate automobile sculpture  in Detroit, USA. It is not a complete sculpture, merely a taster. The vehicle remains a designer secret for the time being. We like waht we see so far, looking forward to the real thing.

Taking The Geek Thing Too Far…

So the retro, indie look is very in at the moment, but this guy Matthew took facial tattoos to the next level by getting a pair of glasses tattooed around both of his eyes. I can’t help but think he might just regret this in a couple of months if not hours.

Hot Young Photographer Alert- Ed Schofield

Ed Schofield, 21, from Surrey is a budding photographer who is busy propelling himself from the kid taking pics of his mates to the guy making a career out of his passion. Having been a photographer for Banquet Records‘ indie club night, New Slang, for some time now; he has captured bands such as The Maccabees, Mystery Jets, Hot Chip and Example with his lens. His Flickr stream displays images from all over the world that he collected whilst travelling, and his latest project is launching online magazine, Mint. We predict big things, watch this space.

Lacoste 101 Sunglasses 30th Anniversary

In 1980 Lacoste launched the 101 sunglasses. The pilot-shaped frames quickly became a classic, and the style has been popular ever since.

2010 sees the 30th anniversary of the eyewear, and to celebrate Lacoste are releasing a limited edition batch of just 1000 pairs worldwide. The glasses will each be etched with a unique serial number so you know that you’ve got a genuine piece of Lacoste history.

Timeless and effortlessly cool, the 101’s won’t go out any time, or year, soon.
